2007 ACES Presenters Invited to Submit Papers to Peer Reviewed VISTAS

Dear 2007 National ACES Conference Program Presenter:

As a result of favorable action by ACES President David Kleist and the Executive Council, ACES will participate in the development of ACA’s online library. As a presenter at the ACES 2007 National Conference, you are invited to submit a paper based on your conference program for possible inclusion in the ACA peer-reviewed VISTAS Online database. All papers received will also be reviewed for possible inclusion in the VISTAS 2009 publication, Compelling Counseling Interventions .

VISTAS is an innovative publication and Internet resource produced for ACA by Counseling Outfitters, LLC. An outgrowth of the work of the former ERIC Counseling and Student Services Clearinghouse, it captures the ideas, information, and experiences generated by the annual ACA and selected Divisional conferences. A description of VISTAS and how it operates is contained in an interview in the July, 2008, issue of Counseling Today (page 27). You can access the VISTAS Online database by signing in as a member on the ACA website, clicking on “Resources” at the top, and scrolling down to “VISTAS.” The VISTAS Online home page gives a brief description of the project and its development since its inception in 2003.

DUE TO RECENT WEB SITE PROBLEMS VISTAS 2009 DEADLINE EXTENDED TO OCTOBER 27, 2009.

All authors whose papers are selected for inclusion in VISTAS 2009, whether for the print publication or online version only, will be invited to the annual ACA VISTAS Authors’ invitation-only reception at the conference in Charlotte, NC. This reception will feature presentations by major ACA and Divisional leaders and selected VISTS authors.During the reception, a group photo will be taken which will be made available to attendees and used in future national and local publications. Further information on the date and location of the reception will be provided in future communications.
